High School Credit Program

The high school credit program provides an opportunity for adults to complete their high school diploma when they are missing just a few classes. A standard adult high school diploma is awarded upon successful completion of all graduation requirements for the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Classes are held in the evenings at Christiansburg High School. For the class scheduled, contact Brenda Bishop, Adult Education Coordinator, at 540-381-6166 or bbishop@mcps.org.

Credit Program Guidelines

  • Pre-registration is required.
  • Available classes are English 11, English 12, US/VA History, US/VA Government.
  • High school credit for adults wanting to earn their high school diploma.
  • Designed for adults who lack one, two, three or four credits.
  • Standard high school curriculum requirements for the Commonwealth of Virginia apply.
  • A grade is awarded based on class participation, class work and tests.
