GED® Test Schedule
The GED® test will be offered on the dates listed below at Christiansburg High School. The GED® test is an 71/2 hour test that occurs over two days.
- September 28-29, 2011
- October 26-27, 2011
- November 30 - December 1, 2011
- January 25-26, 2012
- February 29 - March 1, 2012
- April 25-26, 2012
- May 16-17, 2012
Test Guidelines
- Testing is held on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Christiansburg High School.
- Pre-registration is required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older and not enrolled in high school.
- High school credit is not required.
- Involves tests in reading, writing, science, math and social studies.
- A GED® practice test and preparation classes are available.
- The GED® test takes approximately 71/2 hours.
- GED® Test applicants needing special accommodations should contact their local school division in advance of the test. Reasonable accommodations are available upon request to individuals who qualify.
- A General Educational Development Certificate is awarded upon successful completion.
- The test costs $58 for the full test and $10 for each individual test.
- The GED® is widely accepted by colleges and employers.
