Virginia Grade Level
Assessment
(VGLA)
|
|
The VGLA is a grade level
alternative assessment and is one of the newest assessments in the
Virginia Assessment and Accountability System. This assessment is
designed to provide access to grade-level SOL assessments for
eligible students in grades 3 through 8.
|
|
Participating students are
expected to provide evidence of achievement on the same SOLs as
students taking the regular tests. However, students participating
in a VGLA demonstrate individual achievement on the Virginia SOLs
through a portfolio called a Collection of Evidence (COE).
