Laura Kegley
 Kegley

Hello!  My name is Laura Kegley and I am so excited to be teaching Physical Education at Falling Branch!  I was born and raised in the New River Valley, moved to Arlington, VA, in 2006 where I taught Elementary PE for three years, and recently returned to the area to continue my teaching career and education.  There is no place like home!  I grew up in Riner and attended Auburn High School.  Beginning in middle school and all throughout high school I was very involved with athletics.  Although I love many different forms of physical activities and sports, my main interests during school were basketball, volleyball, and dance.  After graduating from high school in 2001, I went on to attend Virginia Tech (GO HOKIES)!  There I studied Health and Physical Education so I could share with others my passion for personal wellness, fitness, and sports.  Since graduating in 2005, I have taught Elementary PE in a variety of settings.  As a physical educator, it is my goal to expose students to a wide range of physical activities and give them to tools they need to live healthy and active lives outside of and beyond school.  Today I enjoy doing anything outdoors, running, yoga, spending time with friends and family, and watching VT play in any athletic event!  I am happy to be a member of the FBE community and I look forward to meeting each and every one of you!   Get ready for a fun year in PE!
