I've been teaching for over 16 years now and love teaching 1st grade.  My background is in elementary education with endorsements in PK-8 and earned my degree from West Virginia University.  I have also taught pre-school, preschool music, Kindergarten, and second grade.  My husband, our three children and I live in Christiansburg. Seeing children become readers and writers is so wonderful I can't think of a better job to have or a better place to be than GLE!

My hometown is South River, New Jersey. I have taught K-6th for more than 28 years. At GLE I have taught for over 16 years.  I have been a reading specialist for 3 years.  I have a Bachelor’s degree in English and Elementary Education certification in K-7th from Cedar Crest College, Allentown, PA, and graduate work in reading at Virginia Tech.
