Most MCPS Schools Fully Accredited

Fourteen schools in Montgomery County will receive full accreditation by the state, as indicated by 2013-2014 testing scores. Eastern Montgomery High School and Auburn High School have moved to fully accredited status.


Winning Choices Week Begins September 15

“Engage, Encourage, Empower” is the new motto for Montgomery County Public Schools. The motto, along with updated mission and vision statements, was adopted after the community-oriented six year planning process.


Garretson Named Principal at Christiansburg Middle

Jason Garretson is recommended as principal at Christiansburg Middle School. Garretson will begin his new duties immediately, and will officially be appointed by the school board on August 5.
