The Transcript Highway: No More Scrambling for High School Transcripts

Montgomery County Public Schools is participating in a state pilot program with Parchment, an eTranscript program that will make the college application process easier for high school students. Current students will be able to send their high school transcripts online to their college of choice safely and free.


MCPS Receives $100,000 School Security Grant

Division-Wide Lockdown Drill on Sept. 24 at 9:15 a.m.

A lockdown drill has commenced at all schools within Montgomery County. The lockdown is only a drill and will last for less than 15 minutes.


Most MCPS Schools Fully Accredited

Fourteen schools in Montgomery County will receive full accreditation by the state, as indicated by 2013-2014 testing scores. Eastern Montgomery High School and Auburn High School have moved to fully accredited status.


Winning Choices Week Begins September 15

Garretson Named Principal at Christiansburg Middle

Jason Garretson is recommended as principal at Christiansburg Middle School. Garretson will begin his new duties immediately, and will officially be appointed by the school board on August 5.
