Montgomery County Public Schools recently expanded the information available to the community about the division’s capital projects with a website hosted by Skanska. Skanska is the construction project management firm hired to oversee the projects at Auburn High School, Auburn Middle School and Blacksburg High School.
The website features a section for each school – Auburn High School, Auburn Middle School and Blacksburg High School. Each school page has a project status, photo slideshow and a future link for a live webcam at the construction site. The live webcam for each construction site is expected to launch on or before January 2, 2012. The project status and photo slideshows will be updated approximately every two weeks as construction continues.
The site can be accessed by visiting the division’s capital project site at www.mcps.org/CapitalProjects.html and clicking “Project Websites” in the right-hand menu. Community members who subscribe to the capital project email alerts will receive an email message any time an update is posted to the website.
“Our goal is to continue to provide accurate and timely information to the community as we move forward with these projects,” said Brenda Blackburn, division superintendent.
