We’ve Moved!

 

The Technology Department is now located at 1180 North Franklin Street next to Christiansburg High School.  Although the main Technology number remains the same, 381-6165, the new contact number for your TRT is 381-7785.  Since the building was originally known as Friends Elementary School, our name is the Friends Technology Center.  Our new offices provide more office space as well as space for district-wide technology training.  

 

Email Folder Deletion

 

Both your SPAM and DELETED email folders are being emptied every Friday morning at 4:00 am.

 

Email Filters

 

If you have legitimate email being sent to your SPAM folder, please see your TRT for assistance.

 

Email Timing Out

 

The email system logs out after 20 minutes of idle time.  Composing an email does not keep your email account active. That is why the email takes you back to the log in screen when you click “send” if you have been composing for 20 minutes or more. 

Tip to help solve this issue:  before clicking send, copy your message.  Log back in, click compose, and paste your message into a new email.

The technology staff development workshops listed below are being offered at CMS.  Please register using the Staff Development link on the MCPS homepage or click here.  Each of these offerings is worth 2 recertification points.  Contact your TRT with any questions regarding these workshops or with suggestions regarding future workshops.
