Subject: Montgomery County Community Cannery to Open July 13, 2005

The Montgomery County Community Cannery, located at Auburn High School, will open for the canning season on July 13, 2005. The cannery will be open each Monday and Wednesday through September. From October until mid-November, it will be open on Wednesday and Friday of each week. Appointments are required. Please call Bettie Edwards at 382-4612 for an appointment. The fee for use of the cannery includes an annual fee of $5.00 for county residents and $10.00 for non-residents plus .15 cents per unit canned. Users must furnish their own materials and labor, including canning jars. Cannery personal will be available to assist with the canning of fruits and vegetables.
