Superintendent Tiffany Anderson Works to Assist Families at GLES with Before and After-School Care
When parents were informed that the Y-Zone, a before and after-school program at Gilbert Linkous Elementary School, was not going to operate in Fall 2005, Dr. Tiffany Anderson, superintendent, met with parents the same day and assured them she would work to help them find care for the upcoming school year. She introduced to the School Board the concept of having a school-run academic enrichment program before and after school at Gilbert Linkous. The School Board approved the request to do a feasibility study on the cost and how the program could operate. As Superintendent Anderson moves forward to support helping families with quality child care, she will have a parent meeting about before and after-school care at Gilbert Linkous on June 28, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. at the school.
