Subject: Montgomery County Public Schools Superintendent Tiffany Anderson Will Join Elliston Lafayette Elementary School Students in Their Celebration of “Absolutely Incredible Kid Day” at the New River Valley Superbowl in Christiansburg on March 17 From 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m.
Superintendent Tiffany Anderson will join ELES students in celebration of
“Absolutely Incredible Kid Day” by taking part in one of the activities
scheduled for the day, bowling at the New River Valley Superbowl in
Christiansburg. ELES began this celebration
approximately eight years ago. “Staff
members wanted to have a special day to recognize students and let them know
how special they are. Every child
deserves to know they are special.
Adults are encouraged to let a child know just how absolutely
incredible, special, and important they are,” said ELES Principal Denise Boyle.
The school’s climate committee selected the activities for the day. Students participate in the bowling activity and then return to the school to watch a movie at the “Elliston Cinema” with the principal. The Parent Teacher Student Organization helps to sponsor the event. “The students and staff all look forward to the event every year. Students are delighted that Dr. Anderson will be joining them at the event because she always makes time to speak with students when she visits our school. Her interest in their activities is very important to the students,” said Ms. Boyle.
