School Board Members are Excited About
Meeting Community Members in the Elliston/Shawsville Area During the First
of Four Strand Meetings
The Montgomery County School Board will
host a meeting at Eastern Montgomery High School in the Commons Area on
Tuesday, October 24, 2006, from 6:30-8:00 p.m.
The purpose of the meeting is for
parents, staff, students, and other interested community members to meet School
Board members and share questions and concerns. There will also be a brief presentation on capital projects.
Prior to the meeting (from 5:30-6:30
p.m.) Elliston Lafayette Elementary School, Shawsville Elementary School,
Shawsville Middle School, and Eastern Montgomery High School will be open to
allow School Board members and other interested community members to tour the
facilities.
This meeting is the first of four strand
meetings the School Board will host. Meetings will also take place in
Blacksburg, Christiansburg and Auburn throughout the school year.
