Creating Teacher Made Quizzes in Accelerated Reader

1. Log into Renaissance Place

2. Click on Manage Quizzes under Accelerated Reader

3. Click on Reading Practice

4. Click on View all Teacher-Made Quizzes

5. Click on Add Teacher-Made Quiz

6. Enter:

· Book Title

· Author

· Word Count

· Book Level

· Click Recalculate

· Designate Fiction or Nonfiction

· Designate Interest level

· Decide number of Questions

· Quiz Status- If the test will take you several days to create you would leave the setting at Under Development. If students aren’t ready for this particular quiz set it to do not allow. Or allow if you are ready for students to attempt the quiz. This setting can be changed at any time.

· Click Save

7. Click on View Quiz Questions

8. Click on Edit

9. Enter

· Test Question

· Correct answer

· Other answers

· Click Save

10.Repeat Steps 8-9 for each of the questions on the quiz.

Then be sure to click done.

Now students can take the quiz once you set the quiz to Allow.(See Step 6)
