Saving pictures from Digital Camera to your H:drive

 

  1. Log on to the computer
  2. Turn the camera to auto
  3. Connect the Digital Camera to the computer using the USB cable.
    1. The small end goes in the camera and the larger end goes into a USB port. (It’s the only port that the cable will fit into.)

 

  1. At this point the Scanner and Camera Wizard will automatically begin.**See instructions at the bottom of the page)
  2. A screen will appear that shows all of the pictures that are on the camera.
    1. Click “clear all” if you don’t want all of the pictures.
    2. Click on the pictures that you want to save to your folder.

                                                              i.      A check should be in the checkbox by the pictures you select

 

  1. Click next
  2. Click Browse
  3. Click My Computer
  4. Click on your folder (the one with your name by it)
  5. Click ok
  6. Click next (your pictures should be copying)
  7. Click finish

 

Your pictures should now be on your H: drive

 

**If the Scanner Camera Wizard does not begin automatically, then open the Microsoft Photo editor by going to the Start button (lower right hand corner of the screen), go to programs, then Microsoft Office Tools, and select Microsoft photo Editor. When Photo Editor opens, go to File, and select Scan Image. You should then be at step 5 above. If this doesn’t work check your connections and try it again.
