Welcome to Blacksburg High School. This school has a long tradition of providing
an exceptional education. We continue to offer a spectrum of challenging courses
that broaden the horizons of students. The school has a 1200 student body that
excels in academic and extracurricular endeavors, a staff committed to excellence,
and a supportive parent community.

Students, this is your school and we want you to learn everything you possibly can while with us. At the same time, we want you to contribute to the tradition of excellence that was established early in the history of the school. The opportunities for students at Blacksburg High School are extensive. Becoming educated is not easy nor is it necessarily entertaining or fun. It can, however, be full of excitement and reward for those who pursue their education diligently. Blacksburg High School is superbly staffed and equipped to provide what you need in pursuit of learning. It is essential that you find balance between your social life and your academic life while here and that you realize the initiative must be yours.
