My name is Laura Poff and I am the 8th grade counselor.  I absolutely love working with BMS students and learning more about their life experiences.  I am constantly learning so much from these students and truly strive to be an advocate for them while here at BMS.

Fun Facts about Mrs. Poff:

• I live in Salem with my husband and 3 dogs.
• I was born in Pasadena, CA but spent most of my life in Austin, TX before moving to VA.
• I went to Emory & Henry College for my B.A. and then to Radford for my Masters Degree in School Counseling.
• I love quotes!
• I enjoy going to movies, exercising, going to concerts, hiking, and of course going out to eat once in awhile for a splurge meal!
• I love to learn something new everyday from other.
• One of my favorite shows to watch is The Biggest Loser!

• I am ready for another great year here at BMS working with students to help them learn and practice positive relationships.
