I received my BS in K-8 education with concentrations in science, from Radford University in 1990. I was awarded the National Board for Professional Teachers Certification (NBPTC) in 2002. I love science and math and enjoy finding ways to make it fun for my students also. I taught kindergarden for 3 years and have been teaching third grade, which I love, for the past 14 years. I have been married to the same wonderful guy for 28 years. My favorite passtime is spending time with our children, sons who are 25 (Jesse), 22 (Casey) and daughters 17 (Kelsea) and 14 (Lacie.) We currently have 3 Pit Bull Dogs, 2 fish and 4 hermit crabs!! I love to do things with my family such as boating, jetskiing and camping in the summer. We also enjoy snowboarding and "snowday" sledding and hot cocoa parties in the winter...can't wait!!
