Kristyn McDaniel

Christiansburg Elementary is a wonderful place to teach and learn!

I grew up in the Hampton Roads/Tidewater region, living in both Yorktown and Suffolk, Virginia before attending college at Radford University. After starting college, my family moved to Jacksonville, Florida, which has become my temporary home during the summer-time. Over the past several summers, I've spent time with family in Florida and also working as a director for a summer camp program there. I graduated from Radford in December 2007 with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. I now live in Christiansburg with my fiancé, James.

I completed both of my interning semesters within Montgomery County Public Schools and was extremely fortunate to be placed in a 4th grade room at CES for my student teaching semester. I fell in love with the school and felt very welcomed by all the students and staff members. After graduation, I subbed at many schools within the county but always felt like CES was home.

I am very happy to be a part of the CES family and am looking forward to a wonderful school year with my 4th graders!
