CES Safety Patrol
The CES Safety Patrol is made up of fifth grade students. These students were chosen based on their attendance, grades, and leadership qualities. CES Safety Patrol members are responsible for the following duties:
· Report to position on time.
· Set a good example for other students.
· Raise or lower the flag and/or flags.
· Fill cooler with ice for the office.
· Take clipboard to the bus lane and record arrival times.
· Follow final students out of the buildings and let bus duty teacher know if all students are out of the school.
· Be on time to board his/her own bus in the afternoon.
· Attend all meetings.
· Monitor halls as students enter and leave the building. Any problems will be reported to the teacher.
· Safety Patrol members are not to discipline students.
As fifth graders and Safety Patrol members, the students are also expected to maintain good grades in the classroom (no grades below a C), complete all homework assignments, bring materials to class and meetings, and set a good example for other students by practicing the virtues. The follow is the Safety Patrol Pledge:

· Report for duty on time.
· Perform my duties faithfully.
· Strive to prevent traffic casualties, always setting a good example.
· Obey my teachers and officers of the patrol.
· Report dangerous practices of students.
· Strive to earn the respect of fellow students.
