The Class of 2012

General information

      October 4, 2011--Meeting with Jostens (parents are encouraged to attend!)

  • 9:30 am in CHS Auditorium

       October 10 & 11, 2011 - Graduation ordering during lunches (11am-1pm)

  • Required graduation package: gown/cap/tassel/diploma cover --$30.00
  • Announcements and other items are extra. Order on time with the class and save$$$.
  • Required graduation package ordered after Nov. 30, 2011 -- $55.00

       May 4, 2012 - Graduation Delivery Date (11-1pm) in the Lower Commons.  If you owe on your account you may pay cash or money order.  No checks or credit cards will be accepted.

     May 17, 2012 – Senior Class Meeting - 2pm. CHS Auditorium

       May 20, 2012 – Senior Awards Ceremony - 5 pm. CHS Auditorium

      May 27, 2012 – Baccalaureate - 2pm (Location TBA)

      Graduation – TBA (each student will receive 10 tickets for the gymnasium, and two tickets for the live feed in the CHS Auditorium) Contact Paula Tabarini for any special accommodations that your guests will need for graduation. (382-5178)

Remember graduation announcements and graduation tickets are not the same thing.  Your name cards are not graduation tickets.

      CHS School Calendar http://www.modx.mcps.org/chs/  (click on parents) will provide you with specific times and locations.

       Seniors need to check out the senior board outside the library for information on homecoming, graduation committee, senior events, and class meetings.

       Notify Ms. Tabarini and/or Guidance with any scholarships, grants, or award information your senior may receive so that we may recognize them at the Senior Awards Ceremony. Please send in documentation with contact information.

       Dress for Graduation:

 

  • Boys: dark shoes, (no tennis shoes) khaki, black or dark blue pants, light shirt with a collar, and a long necktie. 
  • Girls:  Dark shoes (no white, pink, silver, or gold)–no flip flops or tennis shoes.  Your dress/skirt should not hang below your graduation gown.
  • Seniors will be expected to follow the CHS Dress Code and requirements above for all Senior Events when the cap and gown is worn
