MISSION STATEMENT:

We will provide a safe environment in which students who are entrusted to our care gain self-confidence, recognize their self-worth and become life-long learners and responsible citizens.  Our goal will be to create opportunities for experiencing intellectual and emotional growth and to challenge students to take advantage of those opportunities.  We will recognize and reward excellence as the students develop to their fullest potential.  We will teach by providing an atmosphere where essential values of trust, openness and respect for others are upheld.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

The Rivendell Program serves high school students in Montgomery County Public Schools and is grounded in five basic program components:

APPLICATION PROCESS:

Students may be referred to the Rivendell Program by the Montgomery County School Board, Superintendent of Schools or school principals.  Parents and students may also contact Christina Gilley (540-382-5114) for information about the program and availability of openings for new students.
