4TH GRADE

Mrs. Griffin

I began teaching fourth grade at ELES in the fall of 2001. I am originally from New York State but also lived in Pennsylvania and California. I have lived in Virginia for the last 16 years and think it's the most beautiful state in the Union. I have four children, three sons and one daughter. I graduated with a Masters degree from State University College at Buffalo, N.Y. and taught in public and private schools as well as home-schooled my own children before coming to ELES. When I am not at school you can probably find me in my organic garden, hiking with my children and friends, or making salves, soaps, and tonics. My deep passions are care of the environment and natural healing.

Mrs. Milgrim

My name is Audra Milgrim and I am honored to be teaching fourth grade at ELES with Mrs. Griffin.  I have been in education for almost 15 years and have worn various hats.  However, my first love is teaching!  This is my first year with the ELES family.  I grew up all over the place being a daughter of an Air Force officer.  My family is originally from Southwest, Va.  I earned my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Radford University.   I love to spend time with my husband, two cats, read, write poetry, play the piano, ride horses, hike, garden and exercise.  I plan to be a teacher that prepares my students to be good citizens and provide them with a rock-solid education that inspires them to make a positive difference in our community, country and world!  I want them to be environmentally conscious and become outstanding citizens of the world!
