Ms. Boyle

Hi,my name is Denise Elisa Boyle. Welcome to the Elliston-Lafayette Elementary. At our school we believe Everyone Learns Everyone Succeeds. You will notice that the first letter in each word of our motto matches the initials of our school name. This motto was developed by our students many years ago. I am delighted to be the principal of ELES. This is my nineteenth year as principal at Elliston-Lafayette. I am very lucky to have a job where I work with a dedicated staff and wonderful students. Our school is indeed fortunate to have a wonderful and supportive community.

I began my teaching career in 1976 in a small school similar to ELES in Franklin County Virginia named Burnt Chimney. I taught grades 3 thru 6. I have served as a Brownie and Junior Girl Scout leader as well as an Odyssey of the Mind Coach.

I graduated from Pfeiffer University, formally Pfeiffer College in Misenheimer, North Carolina. I received a BA in Education with a concentration in Math and Science. I received my Masters Degree in Administration and Supervision from the University of Virginia. I also attended NOVA Southeastern University where I completed all my course work for a doctorate in education except for the dissertation.

My hobbies include golfing, gardening, reading and spending time with my cat named Lucky Boy.
