Standards of Learning Test required
The same curriculum covered in regular Earth Science, is taught in Honors Earth Science. However, honors classes will be expected to have a more in-depth understanding of each topic and to develop concept thinking and detailed research techniques.
ECOLOGY

Grade Level: 11-12
Prerequisite: Satisfactory achievement in Earth Science
The goal of the Ecology course is to provide students with the scientific principles, concepts, and methodologies required to understand the interrelationships of the natural world, to identify and analyze environmental problems both natural and human-made, to evaluate the relative risks associated with these problems, and to examine alternative solutions for resolving and/or preventing them.
