Membership requirements:
Students need to be strong academically in the subject areas of math, science, english, social studies, and all-around. Students must have a love of reading, trivia knowledge, willingness to memorize facts, practice as a group, and have a competitive spirit.

Activities:
The MACC schedule includes home and away matches against Auburn, Craig, Floyd, Christiansburg, Blacksburg, Giles, and Narrows in the Eastern Division. These teams play each other during the regular season and again in tournament play. The top two teams in each area meet the top two teams in the Western Division in a Super MACC Tournament at the end of the season.
