Students enrolled in Nutrition and Wellness focus on making choices that promote wellness and good health; analyzing relationship between psychological and social needs and food choices; choosingfoods that promote wellness; obtaining and storing food for self and family; preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks; selecting and using equipment food preparation; and identifying strategies to promote optimal nutrition and wellness of society. Students will analyze their own nutrition and fitness through a variety of activities; they will plan and prepare meals in areas related to nutrition, and investigate a variety of career related to the nutrition and wellness industry.
