This course is an introduction to descriptive statistics, elementary probability theory, both experimental and theoretical, linear regression and random sampling. This class is very technology oriented and employs both graphing calculators and computer software. This course will become a prerequisite for AP Statistics.

AP Statistics is a college level class designed to introduce students to the major concepts and tools for collecting, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from data. Topics include exploratory data analysis and descriptive statistics, probability for anticipating patterns in the distribution of data, designing experiments, and confirming models through statistical inference. Students are expected to take the AP Statistics Exam.
This class is writing intensive.
The average AP exam fee is $82 and must be paid at the beginning of the class.
