Meet the Principal
Julie Vanidestine
I am so happy to be a part of the Falling Branch family! My family and I moved to Christiansburg over the summer from Norfolk. We love it here! I worked for Norfolk Public Schools for 15 years as a classroom teacher, gifted education teacher, gifted education specialist, assistant principal and principal. I am glad to be part of the MCPS family now as your principal.
My husband and I both grew up in Maine and even went to the same high school! We have two daughters in college. Allie is a senior at William and Mary and Valerie is a freshman at George Mason. We also have a very spoiled golden retriever named Sammy. We are huge Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fans!
I am looking forward to getting to know all of the Falling Branch students and their families.
