My name is Irene Furman. I was born in Argentina and moved to the United States when I was 14. I'm fluent in Spanish. When my own children were of school age, I decided to go back to school and get a degree in elementary education. I graduated from the State University of New York at Cortland in 1996 and received my Masters degree in 2003. I taught second grade, fourth grade and kindergarten before coming to Falling Branch and to teach fifth grade. I love teaching science and watching children discover its wonders. |
