The Falling Branch Virginia Preschool Initiative Program serves 18 at-risk four year-olds.  The children spend full school days involved in many activities.  Developing language skills, cognitive skills, gross and fine motor skills, and social skills are all a part of our busy preschool day.  Thematic units, such as bears, colors, farm, and shapes, offer many opportunities for developmentally appropriate activities.  Our days are filled with much learning, fun, and friendship!

Meet the teacher...
 Mr. Olson

I have taught Kindergarten and Pre-K in Norfolk, VA and Atlanta, GA.  I started at Falling Branch Elementary in August of 2006, and I love it here.  I was raised in the Washington, DC area, but my wife (Sarah) is from Blacksburg -- so the New River Valley is home to us now.
