Hi. I'm a reading specialist in the primary grades. I have been teaching and working with young children since 1981. I trained as a Reading Recovery teacher in 1992, and received my National Board Certification in the area of Literacy: Reading/Language Arts in 2005.

Along with spending time with my family at various soccer and running events, I enjoy reading, gardening and camping. I also play old time music with friends and perform at different venues along Virginia's Heritage Music Trail with occasional forays to NC, TN and WV.
