Reading Recovery/Title I
The primary focus of the supplemental reading program at Falling Branch Elementary is to intervene in the early grades with the hopes of preventing reading difficulties.  Kindergarten, first and second grade students receive individual and/or small group instruction from certified reading specialists.  The school's reading services include Reading Recovery, Title I and an Early Learning Program for kindergarten.

Reading Recovery is an intensive early intervention effort to reach those first grade children who are having the most difficulty learning to read and write.  Our Title I program serves selected students in kindergarten, first and second grade.  Our goal is to provide extra help and instruction in reading and language arts.  The Kindergarten Early Learning Program serves as a support for the differing needs of identified children in the area of language arts.

Special Education
At Falling Branch, special education students are in a regular classroom for the entire school day.  As a team, the classroom teacher and the special education teacher collaborate to meet the needs of the entire class based on individual strengths and weaknesses.  Children who need small group or individual instruction are provided help outside the regular classroom setting.
