The Mission of Independence Secondary is to prepare
educationally at-risk students
for success in school, the workplace, and the community to become active
fulfilled citizens.

Independence Secondary serves Montgomery County
students in grades 8-12. The school, which is located at the corner of Independence
Boulevard and Route 460 in Christiansburg, is characterized by the following

must complete an application form and
must go through an interview process. Applications are available in all
middle and high school Counseling Departments or you may download one from our
home page.
