Preschool
The Virginia Preschool Initiative at Kipps Elementary is a family-focused, child-centered preschool program for four year olds who are considered to be "at-risk." Using the Virginia's Foundation Blocks for Early Learning as a guide, we strive to provide an high quality, developmental preschool experience for each of our students. The goals we have for our preschool program include activities which:
*encourage each child's curiosity and eagerness to learn.
*create opportunities to learn sharing and improve social skills.
*assist in developing the skills needed for kindergarten success.
*help parents and children become familiar with the school environment and expectations.
