As part of the 1996-1997 Quilting in the Classroom project, Mrs. Thomas' class created a quilt that depicts the celebration of Earth Day. Here is a photograph of the completed quilt. Each student contributed one of the panels on the quilt. This quilt, along with the other twenty-two that were made at GLE, were displayed at the big celebration in April in the GLE Multi-Purpose Room.
