This is an excellent, fun filled site designed to reinforce vocabulary skills and highten a student's understanding of the English language. These colorful, cool puzzles are offered at three levels (upper elementary, middleschool/junior high, hs/college prep) and the archived puzzles are available. Students completing 12 puzzles of 12 words each can even earn a "degree" and get a color diploma. This is a nice site!

What a wonderful poetry site! The offerings are many and there is even a listening booth (using RealAudio) so you can hear poems being read by their authors. You can learn much about American poets here.

Is your brain obtunded? If not, you should be able to use the letters from the word to spell 30 new words. You must use four or more letters with no proper nouns, no adding "s" to three letter nouns, and only one form of a word is acceptable. You have 40 minutes. :) This site highlights a word, gives the definition and use in context, and offers a challenge for the word find. Answers are given for each puzzle. The students should like these activities.
