Each Spring, students can help fight America's number one killer,
heart disease. Participating students take pledges from family and
friends. After donations are taken, students meet after school and
jumprope for ninety minutes. Six member teams allow students to take
several breaks and enjoy the free refreshments and musical
entertainment.

Near the end of the school year, all students enjoy Play Day.
Students spend one half of the day outside, moving from one exciting
activity to another. The other half of the day is spent inside the
school. Classroom teachers decide on the students' inside
activities.
Each year our school is invited to participate in an in-school bowling program. Equipment for practice is provided to our school for a two week unit. This unit ends with a school wide field trip to the New River Bowling Lane for a half day of fun bowling.
The last day of school we recognize students during our Awards
Assembly. Third, fourth, and fifth graders are congratulated for
their hard work in fitness testing. Presidential and National
Physical Fitness winners receive their certificates and patches
during the assembly.
