Parental Involvement

The Virginia Preschool
Initiative Program recognizes
the key role parents play in
their child's development and
education. Parents are
expected to be active partners.

Opportunities for involvement include:

• Visit/observe in classroom
  
  
• Volunteer to help with classroom activities
  
  
• Accompany class on field trips
  
  
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences
  
  
• Attend parent meetings on various topics

Home visits will be made by the Family Service Worker to strengthen the communication between home and school.
