EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE New River Community Action and local Departments of Social Services offer a variety of programs and services designed to assist individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Both have offices in each of our 5 localities. Detailed descriptions of programs and eligibility requirements can be found on their webpages or by calling local offices. Location, phone numbers, and hours of operation can be obtained by clicking on each locality. Several localities provide home repair/weatherization programs.
