There are revised immunization requirements for all students in Virginia public schools.
Families should schedule any needed immunizations for the 2022-23 school year with their child’s healthcare provider.
Students entering the following grades must provide written proof of the listed immunizations, properly spaced, before their first day of school:

Parents have the right to decline the HPV vaccine after reviewing the HPV Vaccine Information Statement.
Meningococcal -
- Rising 7th graders (2021-22) are required to have one dose of meningococcal vaccine prior to 7th grade entry and one dose prior to 12th grade entry.
- Students in grades 8 through 11 will need to have at least one dose of meningococcal vaccine (at 16 years of age or older) prior to 12th grade entry.
- Rising 12th graders need to have a meningococcal dose (at 16 years of age or older) prior to 12th grade entry.
- Proof of immunization can be provided to the school any time before the first day of school.
