Tenant User Liability Insurance
All organizations using school facilities must provide to the MCPS Facilities Department a certificate of liability insurance before the division superintendent or his/her designee can approve any application and before the event can be held. The insurance policy should be for at least $1,000,000.00. The insurance requirement may be reduced to $500,000.00 for informational or educational small group meetings. The school administration may require additional insurance coverage for events judged to be high risk. Certain self-insured sports instructors shall file a certificate of insurance annually.
- The Certificate of Insurance (COI) shall be submitted electronically to the Facilities Department at least fourteen (14) calendar days prior to an event with the applicable additional insured endorsement form attached.
