MCPS To Offer Free Meals at Six Schools
Six schools in Montgomery County will offer free meals for students while at school for the 2023-24 school year. Students at Eastern Montgomery Elementary, Shawsville Middle, Eastern Montgomery High, Price’s Fork Elementary, Falling Branch Elementary, and Montgomery Central will receive breakfast and lunch for free when at school.
Families at these schools do not need to complete any paperwork to receive free meals. The MCPS School Nutrition Program is dedicated to ensuring that all meals are delicious and nutritious.
“When I heard from the state that our schools were eligible for this program, we applied immediately,” said Superintendent Bernard F. Bragen, Jr. “Students learn best when they are well-fed, and this program will benefit every student in these schools.”
This opportunity is available through the Community Eligibility Provision and is offered to schools that were determined eligible by the Virginia Department of Education.
