Two MCPS Bus Drivers Earned First Place Honors in the Road-eo
Two MCPS school bus drivers earned first place honors in the State Road-eo competition in June. The competition is held by the Virginia Association for Pupil Transportation. Kathy Graham earned first place in the Conventional Bus category and drives across all areas in the County. Josh Simpkins, Auburn bus driver, won first place in the Special Needs category.
During the Road-eo, competitors complete a driving course that tests their skills while driving a school bus. Scoring categories include a written test, pre-trip inspection, student pick-up, railroad crossing, and parallel parking, among others.
