The Finance Department serves as the financial and logistical backbone of our school division, ensuring every resource is managed effectively and strategically to support student success.

Our comprehensive team is dedicated to sound financial management, fiscal responsibility, stewardship, transparency, and operational efficiency, encompassing a wide range of essential services.

Department Divisions:

Accounting: Maintains the integrity of our financial records, ensuring all transactions are accurately classified, recorded, and reported in compliance with state and federal regulations and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Budget: Develops and manages the Division's operating and capital budgets, aligning financial resources with the School Board's strategic goals and instructional priorities. This process is central to fiscal responsibility, ensuring funds are allocated efficiently and effectively.

Grants: Identifies, secures, and oversees all federal, state, and private grant funding, ensuring compliance with complex guidelines to maximize supplemental resources for specialized programs. This includes strict monitoring for sound financial management.

Payroll & Benefits: Ensures timely and accurate compensation for all employees, and manages competitive benefits packages, supporting the well-being of our dedicated staff.

Purchasing: Manages all procurement activities, focusing on obtaining the best value for goods and services through competitive and compliant processes. This is a crucial element of fiscal responsibility in resource acquisition.

Warehouse Services: Provides essential logistical support, including receiving, inventory management, and distribution of instructional supplies, materials, and equipment to every school site.

School Nutrition Program (SNP): Manages the Division's child nutrition programs, ensuring all students have access to nutritious and appealing meals that support their health and readiness to learn.

Together, these functions collaborate daily to safeguard public funds, provide essential resources to classrooms and facilities, and maintain the financial stability required to invest in the future of our students.
