Montgomery County Public Schools is honored to announce a transformative $1 million gift from the estate of Mr. Ralph W. Petrone, established in loving memory of his mother, Ms. Juanita W. Petrone.

Juanita was more than just an avid golfer; she was a true ambassador of the sport. From local courses to fairways across the East Coast, she carried a deep passion for the game and a commitment to introducing it to the next generation. Her son Ralph, a Blacksburg High School graduate and dedicated Christiansburg High School educator, ensured that her spirit would live on in the community they both loved.

Their combined legacy has paved the way for a new era of golf at MCPS, ensuring students have the resources to learn, compete, and grow.
