Dear MCPS Families and Staff: 

As we close out this school year, I want to sincerely thank the entire Montgomery County Public Schools community for the warm welcome and support you have shown me since I arrived in February.

Over the past several months, I have had the opportunity to visit our schools and classrooms,  attend events of all kinds, and meet with students, staff, parents, and community members across Montgomery County. What stands out most is the incredible people who make MCPS such a special place.

To our teachers, staff, and administrators — thank you for your dedication, professionalism, and care for students each and every day. The impact you make reaches far beyond the classroom.

To our parents and families — thank you for your partnership and trust. Strong schools are built through strong relationships, and your support is deeply appreciated.

And to our students — thank you for your hard work, resilience, and the pride you bring to our schools and community. You are the reason we do this work.

I remain incredibly excited about the future of MCPS and the important work ahead as we continue building upon the many strengths of this division together. 

Over the next few months - have fun, enjoy the time off - but please be safe, make good decisions - Especially our young drivers, remember to slow down, wear your seat belt, and put your phone away when you are behind the wheel!
