Montgomery County Public Schools is announcing the hiring of Glen Chilcote as the Administrator of Fine Arts. This position was newly created in the FY 25-26 budget. 

Chilcote currently serves as the music teacher at Kipps Elementary School. He has held this position since 2009.

“We are excited to bring Mr. Chilcote into this position,” MCPS Superintendent Dr. Bernard F. Bragen, Jr. said. “His experience as a music teacher and leader will be invaluable in this role. I look forward to working with Mr. Chilcote to strengthen our superior fine arts programs in MCPS.”

While I will deeply miss the incredible students, teachers, and staff at Kipps Elementary, I look forward to working alongside students, educators, administrators, and community members across the county to continue strengthening and celebrating our award-winning Fine Arts programs.”

In this position, Chilcote will lead and coordinate the MCPS fine arts curriculum and events. 

Chilcote holds a bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University, a master’s degree from Virginia Tech, and an endorsement in K-12 administration and supervision from Radford University.

Chilcote will begin this position on July 1, 2025.
