Montgomery County Public Schools has named Stacie Wright as the next Director of Equity and Diversity. She currently serves as the administrator of diversity and Equity.
“Mrs. Wright’s experience with MCPS is invaluable,” MCPS Superintendent Bernard F. Bragen, Jr. said. “We look forward to seeing her department continue its important work with our staff and students.”
“I’m deeply honored and excited to serve as the Director of Equity and Diversity,” Wright said. “Having worked in this office for 5 years, I believe every student, no matter their background, deserves fair and inclusive access to the very best our schools can offer. This work is about building pathways to success, growth, and belonging for every child.”
Wright has served more than five years with MCPS as the administrator of diversity and equity.
She received her bachelor’s degree from Mary Baldwin College and her master’s degree from Hampton University.
