Montgomery County Public Schools is proud to announce the successful completion of its fourth cohort of the Alternative Model for Professional Studies (AMPS). This 30-month program provides high-quality training and support to educators, helping them earn their teaching licenses while embracing careers within the division.

Over the course of three years, participants engage in learning experiences that cover essential professional studies requirements mandated by the Code of Virginia, including classroom management, human development, and instructional delivery.

The completion of this program represents a significant professional milestone. To graduate, these educators maintained a learning portfolio to track their growth and completed a comprehensive capstone project during their third year to demonstrate mastery of professional standards.

MCPS is thrilled to celebrate the hard work of our newest AMPS graduates:

  • Alanah Flad

  • Linna Martz

  • Sarah Rupp
