The check is from Union Bank & Trust Company and is for $5,000 made out to Montgomery County Public Schools. A big congratulations to three of our BMS 6th graders for winning 2nd place at the SWVA Can Code Regional Showcase!

They pitched their app, "Kitchen Help," to a panel of industry experts on the main stage at UVA Wise. The students created their app prototype during an MCPS camp in June. "Kitchen Help" helps families save time while cooking healthy food and reducing food waste.

We're so proud of all the BMS and CMS students who traveled to UVA Wise to share their amazing app prototypes!
