A Veterans Day poster features a gray background with a pattern of light gray stars. At the top, a dark gray silhouette of a soldier saluting is visible. Below the soldier, three stars are aligned horizontally: a red star on the left, a white star in the center, and a blue star on the right. In the middle of the poster, a rectangular American flag is displayed. Below the flag, the text "HONORING THOSE WHO SERVED" is written in white, followed by "HAPPY VETERANS DAY" also in white. In the bottom right corner, a black silhouette of a graduating figure with a cap and gown holds a diploma, and to its right, the letters "MCPS" are stacked vertically.

Huge congratulations to the Bear Necessities team on a successful grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony! We were thrilled to host the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce to celebrate this milestone.

This store is entirely student-led and operated, giving our BHS students hands-on experience that goes beyond the classroom. Each student is assigned a critical role, learning real-world skills as a manager, HR specialist, marketing and promotions lead, finance and budgeting expert, merchandiser, or customer service rep.

EMHS students from Mr. Eaton's class are gaining real-world skills by constructing a timber frame gazebo that will serve as an outdoor classroom. A huge thank you to the Home Builders Association of the NRV, Blue Ridge Timberwrights, Sunbelt Rentals, and all our partners for making this incredible project possible for the EMHS community!

A wider view showing a large group of students and adults constructing a wooden timber frame pavilion. The structure is mostly complete, featuring a hipped roof frame. Picnic tables are in the foreground, and mountains are visible in the distant background.
A close-up of two adults standing on scaffolding, fastening a wooden beam to a large vertical post on the timber frame structure. A youth stands below on a lower level of yellow scaffolding, assisting with the construction.
A close-up of a student in a grey sweatshirt and jeans holding a rope next to a large, unfinished wooden timber beam. A sign for "Blue Ridge Timberwrights, Christiansburg, VA" is clearly visible, suggesting a collaborative project.
A panoramic shot of the timber framing project in progress. A large green telescopic forklift/telehandler is positioned to the left, assisting with lifting the heavy wooden beams for the gazebo roof structure. Students and adults are working around the frame, with mountains and a greenhouse visible in the background.
A group of young people, some standing on a scaffold and ladder, are working together to secure the wooden beams of a timber frame structure outdoors on a sunny day. A red brick building is in the background.
