A vibrant orange poster for Montgomery County Public Schools features a large graphic of a hand holding a megaphone. The text asks, "DID YOU KNOW?" and reveals that the county once had dozens of one-room schools, contrasting that history with today's classrooms.

A medium shot shows two women in a warehouse holding a large check. The woman on the left has long, light brown hair and is wearing a green jacket over a white top and black pants. The woman on the right has long, dark brown hair and is wearing a black-and-white polka dot shirt and black pants. They are smiling at the camera. The check is from Union Bank & Trust Company and is for $5,000 made out to Montgomery County Public Schools. In the background, there are pallets of boxes, a yellow forklift, and a banner that reads Virginia Tech School of Education, Department of Mechanical Engineering.
A big congratulations to three of our BMS 6th graders for winning 2nd place at the SWVA Can Code Regional Showcase!

They pitched their app, "Kitchen Help," to a panel of industry experts on the main stage at UVA Wise. The students created their app prototype during an MCPS camp in June. "Kitchen Help" helps families save time while cooking healthy food and reducing food waste.

We're so proud of all the BMS and CMS students who traveled to UVA Wise to share their amazing app prototypes!
